pictures of cyl walls? I have never seen anything in the cyl walls that hurt anyone. If the crank/main/rod bearings are in good shape you should be able to reassemble the motor, if you are lucky. I would just let the stock pistons/rings ride it out at this point.. the hone hurt you but its probably not going to show any problems in reality.
I will try to get a picture here soon. I have new bearings and rings ready to go in. the rod bearings looked pretty bad but the mains looked great. I was hoping a quick hone would have knocked the pitting down enough.
