Well, I got the oil pan out, but it looks like the motor mount is trash. It's been leaking so long, that the mount has deteriorated. What mounts do you recommend and from where? Also, the bracket seems to be damaged. Where can I find a NEW one (not new used one)?

I'm not positive, but it looks to bent on the bottom. I'd just like to replace it and get it over with.

id look at some pics from the other oil pan threads and see how yours looks compared to the others, its been said the new ones are hard to get lined up and then bolted on. seen a few guys fight with them.

I fought to get it out, and everything was oily and nasty. Had to leave it on the cherry picker for the night. Are the mounts at a auto parts store, a true solid mount? Where would I look for the oil pan threads?

the mounts are a shot in the dark if they are truly solid or not. id ont see the issue using a fluid filled mount myself. when mine went bad i just got a parts store mount. going from shot mounts, they did make a huge improvement.

flipping the dog bone mounts will also tighten up the engine movement.

When I compare it to theirs, it definitely has a bend in the center. I can post a few pics.

I straighten out the bracket, and got the oil pan on. Now I have another issue. Some RTV got smeared on the bottom (front) of the windage tray, and I forgot to wipe it off. I havent put any oil in it yet, and the tray is clean and dry. I may be able to scrape it off with a coat hanger and vacume it out the drain hole. Will this smear hurt anything, or should I try to scrape it off? I do NOT want to pull the pan back off. Is there a way to flush it out?

Well, I was so happy that I got the pan in place, that I forgot to wipe the RTV off the tray.
