Prepping for buying this stuff next month.. The cam in a Stage 2 and the pulley is a 3.0, and the pump has a hotwire kit attached to it. I am ordering the AEM WB from ZZP

Just a cam install with a pulley drop down to my existing set up I have 105# atm which hold over pretty good with this setup. If I start to notice float I will go 130/150#

I would like to keep a GM chain on the car, but I might not be able to with the new idea of a NIC or XPZ

Dont need a fuel pump. Either way, wheres the rewire?

Zzp mps is easier to find used pulleys for.

Which cam is that? If small, i would run a new stock chain. Unless you intend on degreeing your cam. Then its a can of worms. Jp had issue with wrong chain/gear combination. Unsure if they fixed it.

Looks like its an s2. Unsure if that is worth it over the s1x.

Rollmaster crank gear needs to be machined. Im willing to bet, the jp does as well considering theyre both for autrailian 3800s.

Thanks.. so you are shopping for a cam.

What do you already have in the motor. You said 105's, what about retainers etc etc.
Why an S2? I'm talking aloud from a demod standpoint, they aren't very common.

Stage 2 intense blower cam, I think I will do a stock chain, the rewire was an add on to pump.. and really 60# injectors on a stock pump?!

    Edited my post as well.

I was under the impression that unless going e85, stock was fine.

You plan to make mid/low 300s right?

FWHP? Mid at first. and yes e85 will go in the car just not to start, so high 300 at the end.

You won't make anywhere near high 300's.

Maybe low 300's on E85 with the S2X...and it isn't a popular cam...and doesn't make very decent power gains...S1X or XP...or run a VS and high ratio rockers...or step it up to the IS3/TEP/Custom Cam.

Stock chain/dampner is fine...as long as you don't dump the idle to shake China like I did.

There I go using GPF math again.
I did notice that the s1x and the s2x sound different in youtube videos. I like the sound of the s2 as it was lopey/lumpier at idle, I might sound like an ass for say thing.. but I am kinda going for function and form and not one over the other.

I had interest with the NIC and XPZ. I see the numbers they add but ever sound clip i find on youtube was filmed with a toaster. I've got tons of time to learn about this stuff and buy it as the install is planned for May. Just when I thought I had it alll figured out lol.

PS this wont be a DD car. I plan on sinking no more than 2k in the another W body or a Miata.. which reminds me, still pissed that $300 Miata got away from me.. not sure if anyone remembers that.

out of all the cams mentioned in that post of yours, the NIC sounds the coolest as has the most potential with no other bit mods (heads, intercooler).

The difference in sound could be something as little as how high/low the idle is programmed. I'd suggest searching and doing the research on the various cams and coming up with the best one for you. If this isn't a DD and you want that kind of power, likely I'd think you want a bigger cam like the IS3/IS4 or XPZ

Yes, you should also look into the snapping of the double rollers with low idles.
