There are no specs the machine shop should know what to do if you ask them to match the chafer on the stock gear. Thats all i had to say to the shop i took my gears to .

If the gear is machined, you don't need to machine the pump cover. You can if you want for peace of mind but it doesn't matter.

I'm only doing the head gaskets because the motor will already be out and half ripped apart already. Plus they have 110k on them

Unless your doing something with the head...leave it alone..no point in replacing and spending money on things that are fine.

As soon as you take the heads off send them to the machine shop for a checkup, and porting if you can afford it.

Then I woulda grabbed the other two sets of L67 heads I had lying around?

I got new bronze guides as well.

    L32 valves were used.

For the price of 3800 heads...crack/repair is funny...just buy another set.

Just have him keep the general "D" shaped factory ports...and take the LIM to him and have him port match the runners to the intake side.
