    i have a 1998 gtp totaly rusted so last month i had the chance buying a 2002 gtp shell so i took it.

    So i have take my 1998 engine,engine harness, pcm and tranny to swap in the 2002. now when i try to start it it turn but no fuel come in rail, no spark plug fire, key stay stock in ignition, shifter still lock , door bell ``ring`` when the keys are not in the ignition,no headlight and no front flasher rear is ok, fuel gauge show full all time now im really confused about all that !!! doe the harness is incompatible or the pcm ? is it possible it came from the security system?

    finally excuse my possible mistake in english im french !!!! and want to say thank in advance for your help guys

    you need to use the pcm and harness from the 02 shell car. its set up to use the vin from that car, year to year swaps dont always work.

    if thats what you did, im not sure, you dont say.

    check all grounds as well.

    98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

    thank to reply i use the 1998 pcm and harness because the 2002 was not in the car, for the ground i have look but i'll double check thank do you think if i get a 2002 gtp pcm reprogram with my vin and get a 2002 harness will solve my trouble ?

    you may be able to get the 98 flashed with the vin of the new car, im not 100% sure though.

    either way you going to need someone who can tune a pcm to do it.
