Running SSAC headers, Open Cone Intake, all stock otherwise (stock T-stat and plugs). Running 93 Octane.

Was considering a 3.4"-3.5" pulley setup, but at my mod level, is there any reason not to run stock pulley and just have the timing advanced? What advantage does a smaller pulley with less timing have?

I obviously need to be retuned for either anyway. Figure I can pocket the 50-100$ I'd spend on a pulley/MPS if there is no advantage to a pulley drop over adding more timing.

I think you can run a 3.4 but you'll need to scan to be sure. Timing makes a big difference IMO but I think you can rock a smaller pulley with no timing loss. Go 3.5 to be safe with at least an aftermarket computer! I am looking at a 3.4 with my mods right now.

Pulley > timing in terms of how the car feels imo.

Id say run the smallest pulley you can get away with on stock timing/fueling.

If the car pulls any timing id suggest a larger pulley.

Alright. I'm going to run this car on the conservative side, as it is my DD. I was thinking a 3.5" pulley would be my best bet for safe year-round operation. I want 0* of knock under all conditions, even if I have to sacrifice some timing.
