Man... I hate beating a dead horse but I gotta. I saw a thread with a great parts list for a LIM gasket replacement but I didn't bookmark it and searching for it isn't turning up anything. I know there's the parts list in the video thread, but it didn't seem like everything from the previous one I saw. The other thread had not only the parts list, but the walk through as well. I believe it was a BillBoost37 thread but I'm not sure.

Looking for a little help guys. Thx!

    BTW...

2000 Grand Prix GTP Daytona 500 (stock) is the ride in question.

+ Valve cover gaskets/grommets if you want.

Not all LIM gaskets are aluminum, plastic ones are still being sold. Use the alloys.

Thanks for the replies gents. I'll be doing this hopefully tomorrow. I figure 6 hours with the expected hangover from this evening.

The gasket set should come with fuel injector o rings, but make sure there are 12 in there(1 for the top and 1 for bottom of each). You will also need a fuel rail quick disconnect tool. You can get the plastic one but I prefer the metal one. It's a little more expensive but easier to use IMO. The parts store might try to sell you a TB gasket but you can leave the TB in place when removing the S/C. In total it will probably take you a few hours to do if your a virgin. Don't forget to torque everything to spec as well as use the proper torque procedure.

Good luck let us know how it goes.

    Txslow6,

Thanks for the tips. I have the plastic disconnect tool and a torque wrench is no issue either but....

I'm putting a hold on this. Yesterday afternoon the "Low Coolant Level" light came on so I had Alcatraz pop the hood. I filled it back up with some 50/50 (Already in the system) and saw the leak. It was the damn reservoir hose from the overflow tank to the radiator that was leaking. It was rubbing on the pulley! We replaced it yesterday afternoon and it's been looking good so far. We're going to keep an eye on everything else though should the LIM become suspect again.

Thank the Almighty for this with the hangover this morning, I was in no mood to do this.

I suggest getting the LIM gasket from the dealer, give them a random vin for a 04/05 grand prix when you do this.

You also need a may need a SC gasket if you dont have a 04+.
