I just took over a 99 GTP from my parents that had coolant in the oil and an overheating issue. Tore it down this morning to find failed LIM gaskets. Replaced them with the metal Fel-Pro as well as a new heater elbow that broke. Got it all back together without any extra parts. Yay.
My problem: the car fires up immediately when I hit the starter, but it also dies immediately after a few seconds of running. Even if I keep my foot in the gas and try to hold it at 2500-3000 rpms it will die. Normally I would suspect vacuum leaks, but with vacuum leaks you can usually run the engine if the flow through the throttle is much larger than the leak. This feels like the car is running through just the amount of fuel that is in the rail and no more. I have double checked to make sure I didn't have any undone electrical connections and have seen no obvious oversights. MAF/TPS/IAT/ECT/all 6 injectors are connected.
Thoughts?
