You know what, you might as well pour cement in the crankcase and junk it at this point.

yeah lol i understand. alot of people dont understand the actual problems with these engines and what goes on inside rather than what they see in the top end. id rather know that my oil is flowing and safe than whether my heads are ported out and im running the biggest baddest cam on the market

right right. just manage what you can with your budget as of now. then when the time comes, make the switch.

so pages 2-4 i skipped...youve been warned. you asked for my thoughts and opinions, here they are:

    - ditch that northstar and LQ4. seriously. not worth the money. sell it and spend it on beer. the northstar throttle feel is like having sex with a bowl of jello. throttle body upgrades are meant for all out builds, which this is not.

    - if you want to gain much, like flake said, you need to do a cam swap.

    - you will not achieve this build for under $1000 since it's not worth the effort unless you spend more and get more.

A tuner would be your best investment. Or you can pay $200 every time you change something lol.

    stock engine dynoed 196hp
    it dynoed 201hp with plog/downpipe.
    after headers...it did 219hp - 18 hp gains
added cam...it bumped up to 243hp - 24 hp gains

    THIS WAS WITHOUT A TUNE

    want real proof?
DO IT YOURSELF AND WASTE LOTS OF MONEY

    just my two cents!
