white smoke usually means lim gaskets have gone bye bye's .
leaking coolant into the cylinders, and then white smoke out the tail pipe.
hows your coolant level? is it dropping?
Define "hot"
or the head gaskets gone. I'd do a leak down test.
I'd start by pressure testing the cooling system. If you have an internal leak, it's most likely the LIM's. HG's are uncommon.
Thanks alot y'all, now how hard are those to change? I can't seem to find a haynes for my gtp any suggestions
lim gasket isn't hard at all first time doing it took me and a buddy about three hours including tear down and assembly but if you can find your leak try using some uv coolant dye thats how i found mine.
Lim - lower intake manifold.? I'm not up on the acronyms as far as cars, I'm aircraft mechanic / sheetmetal is my specialty. But I am mechanically inclined, but all this computerized stuff is new to me.
yes lim is lower intake manifold, heres a link to all the common acronyms. it should get you up to speed.

Well it looks like I'll be changing a manifold gasket. Do the upper and lower need changing at the same time? If at all possible any links to doing this job would be greatly appreciated! My search buttons are not doing what they should. Now I know to get the metal gasket, I'm going on limited funds so is there any other stuff that's affordable that will need changin? I'm in dallas ga. About 30 minutes from six flags, any help and knowledge would be greatly appreciated! Down to 1 vehicle!!gonna start tomorrow
After 700 estimate I do believe I'll be changing that lim gasket myself, so any step by step instructions or pictures would be greatly appreciated, I've looked at that video and it should help alot, but any other help or advice will be greatly appreciated!
EDIT WHOLE THREAD:
I remembered where it was hidden
http://www.grandprixforums.net/video...utes-3112.html
Video for 2000 GTP (will work for the most part)
Post# 13 & 16 has parts and how-to info
If you get stuck just holla
Thanks I have that video and it should be of great help and so will that link, but one question, I didn't see anything about the super charger? Removal or installation, there was a link in the how to part and didn't say anything about it either, I have a super charger, is there alot of difference with it
Not really. Whether you remove the SC or the upper intake of an NA motor. It's all a few bolts and a gasket. On the SC, the bolts are torqued to 17ft lbs, on the upper manifold of an NA, they are 89inch lbs.
Thanks y'all I'll let yitou know how it turns out, hopefully it will be good turn out
