If you want to do a whipple... just remember this is not a kit for it out there and you are going to be doing a ton of fab work ( which means you need to know excatly what the hell you are doing).

There are a few adapter plates for whipples floating around, but they will not do you any good due to the fact you still need to craft a billion more parts that are far more complicated... and typcially the crap adapter plate just gets in the way more than it helps.

mmmmmmm whipple... i wish. whipple chargers are generally considered "better" because they compress the air inside the blower housing, leading to (correct me if i'm wrong) denser charge and lower outlet temps. there used to be a kit for the 3800's, but it's been long since discontinued. they're extremely hard to find as well. there was one member on this forum that had a whipple setup, but i haven't seen him around for a year or so. basically, they're really expensive and way overkill. it would be pretty cool though

What is with this "hard to find" stuff?

All you need is a TB adapter plate and a custom intercooler. WHICH...IIRC...Paul at PRJ or Tom Wright down in Whicita, Kansas (Guy who ran AnimuL Performance back in the day) still have those parts or templates.

    As for the blower...

It is just a Whipple W140AX.

You can buy just the blower and make your kit. Probably run about 3K, ish.

    Sounds like cam versus intercooler...

Cam is great if you can get it in there for 700. Better value than intercooler at 1200-1500.

However paying someone for a cam install brings you right back into intercooler range. (PRJ charges 500 as per his site)

Why is it that people suggest turbo's over CSC? Is it because a turbo kits are more accessible and your on your own for a CSC?

Is that because the belts on the CSC limit how much boost can be made, whereas a turbo the limit is exhaust velocity/pressure?
