cooling system questions

hello gentlemen, So my water pump recently went bad, but i needed to fix the car that day so i bought a stock replacement from oreileys. not a re-manufactured but it was still pretty cheap, i used this opportunity to get the dexcool out and put in some green. its a blessing in a way this happened it appeared that the dexcool was beginning to gum up and and it was just very nasty i flushed thoroughly and also replaced my tstat. i went with the 180. and also replaced my rad cap, something odd i noticed is that autozone sold me a 16 psi rad cap opposed to the original one that is 15, i didnt think this would be a problem though. but anyway the cooling system is tight no leaks and its staying clean and clear BUT my car is running considerably warmer now, it used to never go higher than halfway between the second line and the 210, now it will go about 2 lines after 210 before it drops and it seems like the fans are running constantly. could it be the cheap water pump? the 180 tstat? i apologize for practically writing a book but any input would be greatly appreciated.

You need to bleed the system more with the bleed screw on the tstat housing.

im pretty sure i bled the system thoroughly, should water seep from the bleed screw? cuz i filled the radiator to the top with the bleed screw open, water did not seep from it but the rad was full and i filled it with the bleed screw open. i will see if i cant get more air out of the system in the morning. thank you

The system is not bleed untilled only coolant comes out the screw

This man speaks the truth. You likely have air in the system.

Orrr the flush clogged something up and now you want to replace the heater core and radiator. Personally..I'd start with bleeding the system.

are you bleeding the engine while its running? it should be a steady stream of coolant jetting out of the bleeder screw.

i like to idle the car with the rad cap off, till the fans come on, that way you know the t-stat is open, top off rad, open the bleed screw, bleed, tighten the screw, top off rad if needed, and cap it.
