I'm getting pretty nasty shuttering on hard acceleration. Also I'm fouling plugs pretty regularly. I've tried stock, colder, E3, etc. Same results. My Air fuel ratio is 14.7 - Is that too high?? My inj pulse seemed to be ok. MAF reading was roughly 5.15 2300-2600 area. KR of 0

I've got CAI, ported manifolds, ubend delete, resinator and muffler delete(If that is considered mod lol), 180Tstat, 3.5pulley drop, MSD Wires and coils(Wish I still had the stock cause I heard MSD coils are worse).

Thanks in advance for ANY advice.

Also fuel pressure was 45-55 consistant. I also done a compression test to each cylinder - each one was roughly 115-125 and according to the dealer anything about 100 is good.

Are all your engine mounts poly or the rubber? If it's still rubber, maybe the engine is just torquing over and the trans dipstick is wanging against the firewall.

Have you checked ignition coils and ignition control module?

When I had this happen last summer found one of the coils was shot but it was only noticeable during hard acceleration. Are you getting a check engine light at all?

In the same line as the ignition coils, maybe your plug wires aren't making good contact.

I haven't changed the coils but I have been told to junk the msds and put stock back on by quite a few people. And no they're still the poly mounts on the engine. I pulled the abs ign fuse today and it seemed to help a bit aqctually. I did get a ses light and code that popped up was cylinde3r 4 misfire. Put new plugs and msd wires. Still get it on hard acceleration. That's why I thought compression check but luckily it turned out fine. And I thought when coils went it would set off 2 cylinders to misfire

Check over your plugs and wires really well. Make sure you have them run from the correct coils to the correct plugs. And yes, the MSD coils are not doing you any favors.

As for traction control in your 97, there is no way to "turn it off". It can only be deprogrammed out of the computer.

Your plugs are fouling, are they all fouling, or just ones from certain cylinders? Like Zef said, you may have the spark plug wires running to the wrong coil packs. If it's cylinders 3 and 4 you're receiving misfires from, those 2 may have the wires switched. And like others said, haven't heard good things about MSD coilpacks. Some though few, have run them with no problems.
