his is all ported and polished tho I think,
so you could retap it with bigger threads... or have it welded, drilled out and retapped. Maybe call some machine shops and ask what they could do. either way your going to have to pull it off... which sucks
or you could use a lag bolt which would be the funniest fix I've ever seen besides my umbrella hood that is.
sigh... i think i'm gonna teach myself how to helicoil. i'm still pretty stunned i pulled threads out with a quarter-inch drive ratchet. anybody know the size for the lim bolts off the top of their head?
well, fixed the LIM situation. found a longer bolt with the same threads, only the top two were damaged. dsmuts, i got your pics today man, thanks. i used them to figure out where the brake booster and vacuum canister lines hooked up. i also got the evap canister mounted. but then i did this...
ugh... what should i do about that?
Delete the EVAP system...
thats a fuel line brochacho lol
LOL wut.
I've never busted a fuel line...
i was putting it on, heard a snap, and saw dollar signs. i don't suppose i could just slip the line on the rail could i? it doesn't feel like the rest of that clip is coming off
I think you could be ok slipping a rubber fuel line on it just make sure it doesn't leak. If you need anymore pics let me know.
turns out autozone has a splice kit for like 8 bucks. crisis averted. picked up a bunch of vac line and some T's too, and then got called into work tonight. so i guess i'll get to it tomorrow. need a bbv too, so we'll see about that.
edit: just ordered headers. pretty stoked

yeah, i didn't see you lol. which truck is yours? that little green dakota that i see there like everyday?
WOOooooooooo
ran some vac lines today. i'm assuming i'm not hooking up the bypass solenoid since you guys said that the bottom of the bbv gets vented to atmosphere. i'll be fixing the fuel line soon too, and then i'm just waiting on headers and a few small parts. i'd be more exited if i wasn't exhausted lol
You could convert all your fuel lines to braided lines, because racecar. And the BBV solenoid is the little rectangle thing that bolts to the BBV actuator?(the big cylindrical thing). I took my solenoid off and left the bottom of the actuator vent to atmosphere.
yeah, it's got a vac input from the fuel pressure regulator on one side, and two on the other, one going to the bbv and the other going to atmosphere. i'm assuming i don't have a harness to hook that up, so if yours is running ok, i think i'm going to do without. i routed that line to the input on the throttle body
not quite lol. i'm starting to miss it. it looks so good sitting in the barn. headers are on their way, then it's BBV and harness, MAP sensor harness, belts and fluids, intake, and tune. might drive it a time or two without the blower belt on. i didn't order the wiring harnesses because i thought 50 bucks was a bit much for 4 feet of wire, but after all the money i've dropped on this, i'm about to. little sh!t man, little sh!t
Yea the MAP extension harness i got from WBS didnt fit anyway so i had to take a dremel to it. and FWIW I drove my car probably 100 miles with a topswap, L36 injectors, and L36 stock tune, and SC belt on. Not that I would recommend it, especially without scanning.
