so a few months ago i ported my sc and used liquid gasket inbetween it and the lim. well now i wish to take the supercharger off. seems as if the liquid gasket acted as the craziest glue ever. two grown men cannot get the supercharger off the lim.
    1. lesson learned!
    2. any tips to get the damn thing off.

on a side note a made my own FWI
i sawed off the light part in bottom of front fender and instead of fog light the cone can be seen. looks awesome. tested and will not hydrolock. southwest mansoon rains going through almost a foot of water during heavy rain. works and sounds like a champ!

He's not talking about RTV - he's talking about this. It ships with many rebuild kits and is supposed to be be what GM uses for this seal.

To the original poster: read the technical data sheet. It looks like this is similar to thread locking compound and you will have to heat the part. A decent heat gun will do a good job here (don't use a torch).

Well if you would actually read his post it says he used a LIQUID gasket. I know what you posted...been there done that. When someone says they used a liquid gasket doesn't that normally hint at them saying they didn't guy the gasket they were supposed to anyways...such as the GM Aluminum ones? Or the non-Garlock blower gaskets for that matter? And RTV...liquid gasket...close enough...they are all sealants and are made to MATTE a gasket together at the ends...not take the place of them.
