there is a video how to in the How To section that should help out. You'll need a super charger gasket. Since you'll be pulling the fuel rails off, might as well replace the fuel injector Orings. You'll need a fuel line disconnect tool, torque wrench. Might as well go in there and replace the valve cover gaskets too.

You'll need an extra quart of oil to pour over the lifter valley. When we did mine, I went ahead and drained the oil before starting the work so that when I poured the oil over the lifter valley it would just wash on through.

Be careful in taking off the LIM as it will have coolant in it. I drained my radiator when we did mine and there was not much in there and I lost maybe a teaspoon of coolant if that.

You'll need some thread sealant too. Keep track of every bolt, every connector and all that. Id use zip loc bags and label them good for the supercharger bolts, LIM bolts and so on.

Thats about all I can think of. Its not a terribly difficult job, just kinda labor intensive.

Thanks ill check out the video if i can find it...im assuming its the lim gasket...i noticed coolant on the front left side of the engine puddled up in the injector plugs and in one of those lil "bowls" on the left of supercharger.

Agreed with Synthetic on this. If you don't disconnect the lower radiator hose, make sure that you drain the oil before starting the engine, as you will have about two quarts of coolant in your oil. That is, of course, if you don't drain the coolant. I'll also stress that following the torque specs and sequence is absolutely critical to prevent your new gasket from leaking. Also carefully inspect the intake itself, as the aluminum may be pitted, in which case it is time for a new one.

Buy the GM L32 LIM gaskets!!! There metal, not plastic like your originals. There only a few bucks more and WELL worth it. Whatever you do, upgrade to those while you have the chance.

All of the GM gaskets for it should be metal by now. They phased out the plastic ones a few years ago. The auto parts stores are the only ones that carry the junk plastic gaskets anymore.

BTW, you don't need to disconnect the fuel rail lines....you can pull the rails off and set them out of the way on the drivers side strut tower.

will the LIM leak oil??? i got some oil build up, pretty much under the altenator, some around that side of the LIM, some on my valve cover. im thinking maybe the valve cover gasket over on that corner. its kinda slug around tho, like its got some pressure. squarting out hitting some things bouncing off those and hitting other things. the altenator is in the way tho so i cant really see where its comming from..

They may leak a slight amount of oil in the corners, but chances are that it is a valve cover gasket instead of the LIM gaskets.

No, it is a sealed unit with no drain. If you want to change your S/C oil, you have to such it out. You shouldn't have a problem.

Just do one thing at a time, and dont think about everything.. it will make your head hurt and stress you out.

calm down and take your time. you will do a great job! it does take a little while.

make sue you put some oil on the injector O rings before installing them...so they dont tear. and also make sure when you take off any bolts.... they go back into the same area. keep them in different bags. when you are taking it down that far... it is easy to loose one or two.

    did I mention......TAKE YOUR TIME!!!
