Well KR might not matter anymore.

Here was my car about two weeks ago...

And this is what it looks like now...

Some moron girl didn't yield at a stop sign and pulled right out in front of my wife. Fortunately the other driver was at fault (of course) and was cited. I just hope the thing is repairable and there is no frame damage.

As long as it rains bacon to, I won't have a problem with it.

Well I got some good news - they're going to pay to get it all fixed instead of totalling it out.

Well the car is back home where it belongs with some new projectors, HID's and some custom paint on the bumper. I washed the car last night so I could take some pics, but it got dark really fast and started raining. So whatever, I'll do that biz later.

Back to the thread topic. I've now got the car where I want it I just need to find a place where I can scan for KR. Assuming I still have some KR issues, what are the next easiest/cheapest KR reducing mods/adjustments that I can do? I really don't want to go too much further in terms of trying to squeeze more power out of the old girl. I just want to do the minimum necessary to have safe KR levels. So what are my options? Colder plugs? (Headers, I know). What else?

Methanol Injection...cheap...effective...and will allow you to run probably a 3.25" or 3.2" on pump 91 with a custom tune and no knock. Or just spray it with Meth on the 3.4" and crank up the timing. Meth is basically a poor man's Intercooler...and IMO is better than most IC setups out there anyways because you don't have to worry about all the BS lines and coolant running everywhere in the engine bay. I don't even know your mods...but I'd say another thing would be is to get poly mounts and flip the front sway bar upside down...and if you can reach in there stick some dynamat on your knock sensors...that'll eliminate any chance of false knock that's for sure.

Well...what do your pockets look like for this extra oomph? $100, $500, $2,000?

Well like I say, I'm not looking for extra oomph really. Just enough to reduce KR if necessary. So yeah, it's all about money and install difficulty. If I could make a giant list of all the KR reducing mods in existence, I'd start with the very cheapest/easiest and then move down the list until the KR was gone. I don't really care if I get more power or faster at this point.

    This.

I ran meth on my car with a 3.2 on what was a 3.4 setup prior to it with no knock. Recent retuning has netted me a couple degrees of kr with only 12* of timing. I now threw the 3.4 back on to rid the kr, and like Nick said, i am going to crank up the timing next tune to squeeze even more power from it.
