Its all good. I was just getting confused. I should know better though. Almost everyone calls me Fish. LOL.

And for the record, the very intention of this is for the heatsoak issue that happens to everyone eventually. When I get time to test these on the track, and the local guys get their sample of it, then we'll see where we stand as to more being produced. But at dropping some coin for just 5, I can only do so many at a time until I replenish the pocked from the ones I've made.

Well, here's the development news on the IAT's so far. It's really a good read, so I thought I'd share this with you guys. If you don't believe me without the vids and the scans, I apologize. I'm staking my reputation on it, so keep that in mind.

Outside temperature was 56*, one heck of a beautiful morning.
I had a nice long road trip for the weekend to go to a friend's house for a BBQ. It's a 46 mile trip one way, so what better way to see how it does? We drive to Richmond, MO to stop at the wal mart that's on the way, it's about a 15 minute drive, plenty of time to get the engine bay nice and warm. While the wife was in the store, I let her sit, idle, get all heat soaked up. So by this point my IAT's were reading 104*. Start rolling out of the parking lot nice and slow, I don't want to suck in any more air than I have to, then we make it to the highway. Now, keep in mind, this thing is pretty sensitive as it is...just driving through the parking lot, barely giving it throttle it dropped to 94*. Rolled out on the highway and stabbed the gas. The Temp immediately dropped to 70*, and within about 3 seconds it was reading right at 56*....right on the money. Suprised even me!

Now fast forward to coming home about midnight, the temps had dipped well into the lower 40's...I'd say they were about 43ish. I happen to look down at the HVAC and it says 45, but I look up at the Aeroforce and it says 43....wait? what? Great, it's reading off....but come to find out that going through the dips and the valleys the air is cooler....then I happen to look down at the HVAC again and it says 43. The IAT is reading faster than the actual ambient sensor for the climate control!

More testing coming soon!

Lee, you may not see any gain from it. I know that the Wizair has wonderful insulation and that's one of the reasons they are so good.

But I think it may be a benefit to the guys using FWI and open cone. I scanned a guy's car this weekend with a HAI and he had intake temperatures at idle that were in the 170* range.

Keep in mind that it's not track tested yet, so I'm not sure of the gains to be had YET. Different setups will yield different results, so I'm excited to see how everyone's feedback on these would be.

5 new IAT sensors will be available for shipping out on Monday just in case anyone's interested.

From the outside, you will not be able to tell that there is an aftermarket part installed. It uses the stock housing. The only noticable difference is the smaller element compared to stock. This is the only picture I have ATM of the new element. I can take side by side pictures this weekend of stock vs. modified.

As far as I know, it's just as durable as the stock on. Epoxy coated and all.

I was concerned at first about this just from the small size of it, but a friend of mine has one that's the same style on his GTO that's been on there for going on 3 years now without any issues.
