Good news just got the ECT sensor replaced, but once it was replaced it. I was driving down the street & I notice the tempature starting flying up (it went over 210), but when I stopped at a stop sign it quickly went down to about 170. I cut the car off & immediately start it back up. Then I drove it home (about a 30 minute ride) the temperature read normal. The car was barely even running for 5 minutes when this happened.

    Second Time:
I disconnected the battery, to reset the ECT code (I dont think he reset the battery) & it did the exact same thing again. I am confused, what could this be. Could it be the PCM recalibrating the tempature .. I am confused & worried lol. I checked the oil & it was still clean, but has a few small bubbles. Although I check it when the engine was warm

Was the coolant system bleed after the install? Are you low on coolant?

This is normal. The temperature normally rises to 210 area then the thermostat opens, and the temperature drops. Nothing to worry about.

a tune that directly relates to ur t-stat will fix the 210* temp spike. (i.e. fans on at 185,,,somrthing like that) till that is fixed, your temp. ind. may be everywhere in the 180 to 210 range.
