Backstory:
I am in the process of a LIM gasket replacement on a '98 GTP. Long story short I was going to sell it for parts because it would not pass inspection and I did not want to put any money into it. After seeing the LIM in 33 minutes video on this forum i figure it was worth a shot to try. relatively inexpensive parts and learn a good deal in the process.
So every little process on this procedure has been way more troublesome that it should be. Vehicle was obviously not cared for very well.
Problem
Today I hit a major snag. Removing the alternator bracket the bottom coolant connection to the engine sheared off in the hole. I had thought this was a plastic connection like the elbow above, but after inspection it appears it is actually part of the bracket and now there is a ring of steel/aluminum in the engine side orifice.
Is there an easy solution to this problem. Or is it time to say enough is enough and call the junkyard to take it away?
I can add pics tomorrow to show exactly what happened.
