i wish 10's lol. Im tired of this bull**** with preload and pushrod lengths. Its still not right.
And no spray for me. Dont wanna be rebuilding and rebuilding from using spray. Maybe put some purge valves in the nostrels of the hood. Then i could be a bad ass "Fast and the Furious" street racer and be cool like all the ricers ill be leavin in the dust. haha
^^When's your damned car gonna be done
10's...MAYBE 11's.
You're almost there, finish it properly.
Meh...moving out at 21 when you are introduced to bars makes going fast a pain too![]()
Oh its being done properly for sure. Put my stock lifters in to see what the difference would be between lengths with Pushrods and lifters. When goin to stock lifters, the pushrods didnt even come close to being the right length so i put stock pushrods back in and everything is fine. Actually better. All the rest of the shizz will be in on Wednesday. Between April nd May, i will be heading to Missouri to have Reptile fully tune the car.
Heh...PARTY!
Better get here quick...we got snow rolling in.
Haha thats why im waitin till spring time to almost summer time to come down. Winters are damn ****ty up here.
Have any of u guys seen other people with XPZ setups run stock pushrods?
And does anybody wanna buy these Comp Cam OE-R's that i have? 0 miles on them.
Nevermind on the sale for the lifters. I overlooked the stockers. Couple of the lifters are like seized. Gonna put the OE-R's back in, with the ZZP pushrods torque em down then put the flexplate back on and then starter to get the oil pump going so it will pump oil into the lifters some and maybe solve the real spungy issue im having with the lifters.
Think that would work or?
Oh well...those lifters work...they are just loud...thats all.
probably wouldnt be able to hear em from the exhaust being so loud anyways. lol. Blue, gimme some help here please. my heads arent milled, i have 4 layer MLS .052 head gaskets with an XPZ obviously. 105s on exhaust and 130s on intake. They gave me 7.05 length pushrods for exhaust and 7.10 for intake. Does that sound about right or what do u think?
lifters might need to be pumped up.
are the pushrods seating in the rocker tho?? if there is to much slack and you try and turn the motor over to pump the lifters up you might bend a push rod or something. snug them down.
Ya. The piston or whatever inside the lifter is all the way up. Does that mean they are pumped up? id assume not but idk. there is no slack. the pushrods dont move up or down. some of them just twist easy.
Well thanks for trying to help
