thanks bio![]()
wait bio theres marks on both sides of the connecting rod?? what do you mean exactly? thanks man
Yeah i think he did say that but theres numbers on both sides of the rod?
I don't ever remember any specifics on the rods for the L67, the L32's are specific on which side goes toward the front.....but the pistons are the ones that are important. The ID numbers go toward the timing chain end of the engine...meaning that on one side all of the numbers will be right side up, and the other side they will be upside down.
Also, remember that those rod bolts are TTY, so you WILL need to have a new set of bolts, and a torque angle meter. If not, you will spin a bearing because your torque settings are wrong.
yeah we know about the tty stuff thanks reptile but reptile theres id numbers on both sides on my rods on the l67??????
help bump..
The pistons matter as said, because there is a offset pin, so the direction matters, as said.
The rods for the L67 I do not believe matter, as far as direction goes as well.
L32 rods yes it matters, cylinders 1,3,5, the dots on the rods face the front (timing chain end) of the engine, and 2,4,6 they dots face the rear of the engine (flex plate end)
I have only installed L32 rods with ARP bolts in any build I have ever done.
