The pistons matter as said, because there is a offset pin, so the direction matters, as said.

The rods for the L67 I do not believe matter, as far as direction goes as well.

L32 rods yes it matters, cylinders 1,3,5, the dots on the rods face the front (timing chain end) of the engine, and 2,4,6 they dots face the rear of the engine (flex plate end)

I have only installed L32 rods with ARP bolts in any build I have ever done.
