Got my new CAI installed last night. Looks pretty sweet and I can really hear the supercharger whine now. I know this pretty small potatos when it comes to mods, but this is my first upgrade and thought I'd share. I would have more to share but UPS f'd my other package so bad it had to be sent back to zzperformance. But that's a whole other cluster !@#$.

I have that exact same cai kit on my gtp. I love it. I think it looks sweet. Just a word of advice rhough. That tape they give u that holds the inlet tube heat sheild cover together,if u take that stuff off too many times it won't wanna stick anymore. And don't go to just any auto parts store cuz that crappy heat resistant tape won't work with the material. I haven't been able to find anything yet that works. Just to let u know. And honestly u might be better off just makin ur own inlet tube. It wouldn't have all those ridges to bump over. Also, ur gonna love that dp. Its easy to put in ad it makes a BIG difference. Good luck bro

I dont understand why people put a CAI on their car but yet leave the engine cover on which traps heat around the supercharger? Im not knockin....maybe you just dont know any better. Looks better with it off, show that sh!t off.

Took off the engine cover and cleaned things up a bit. Looks pretty good, if I do say so myself.

yank off that hood weatherstripping by the cowl too, it seals the hood and traps all the heat under there

I did until one day when I was leaning my skinny ass in the engine bay and went to lean my head against it and put all my weight on it...that thing hurt like a biotch on my forehead without the weather stripping there LOL But yeah, take it off.

Also...flip your stock motor mounts...that is free too

Makes them more rigid therefore applying more torque to the wheels. I think its a waste, just buy some poly's.
