well I just finished replacing the coupler and changing the oil. The noise I had is alot quieter but I can still hear it faintly. Could it possibly be the needle case bearings? how hard are they to replace?

Hi Guys,
I just picked up a 99 GTP last week and I keep reading about this supercharger oil.
I'm a fluid-changing junky so I want to make sure all my fluids in this vehicle are fresh - dude I looked and I can't see where this SC oil goes or how to change it. Is there a link to a write-up or how-to?
Thanks!
Blower has to come off
Did the oil that you pulled out come out clear or black?
did it seem that you didnt get a lot of oil out of it compared to the 2 new bottles you put in?
If the needle beariings are bad you will get rotor slap and maybe a rattle
more likely a bearing in the snout (there are 2)
Talke the pulley and grasp it, see if there is any movement up and down on the shaft, that would indecate the front snout beraring.
Also take a stethescope and listen on the snout, there will be a little noise up by the pullry with it running, but it shouldnt be growling real loud
The rattle is coming more from the throttle body side of the S/C, I've got case bearings on the way and should be here this week. I'll post back up what I find out.
good luck...........keep us posted
