you will not blow up your car with a 3.4. i have been running untuned with my 3.4 for almost two years with around 5-6* of knock. i beat on it daily and it just takes it as it comes. maybe im lucky, but i dont think a 3.4 is a big enough step for it to matter. hell, SLP put a 3.5 on some GTXs with just an intake and some rockers. that has got to tell you something.

Bull****, i've seen it happen for years on ClubGP anf its happened to a few hear. Even good ol' PRJ could tell ya some good horror stories.

Then again in your defense, you actully have good flow mods. The person in question doesn't have ****. Your mods are helping way more than you might think. I wonder if some of your knock is false too, I know your running Higher CR but still on 93 octane I could see it being even lower than that. Hell 5 years ago with similar mods and lower CR (L67) I ran 93 octane with 0 KR. I never had much of a KR issue at all until OKC pretty much got rid of all the 93 octane stations and used this piss water we have now (91 octane).

what size should i run then? and im getting the pcm from intense friday would it be safe then?

I asked a lot of experienced GP owners and a few who own tuners/scanners. I wanted to drop a pulley at first when I got my car. I was told bye bye motor if I did by everyone.
So I went other routes first. I just bought a 3.4 to put on and I am still being told I am pushing the limit. I have a 1" TB spacer, TB heat shield, Colder plugs, 180 T-Stat, Wizaired CAI, Ubend del, Cat del, and Borla exhaust.
Since we have everyone discussing this am I really pushing it?

I'd say you need a 3" DP or best yet a set of Headers with a nice DP. That will help quite a bit. From there scan and plan your next move. If you're at pretty much 0 KR, you should be good.

Your stock DP is the biggest restriction in your exhaust system. Your manifolds ain't the best either. I beleive PEMs and P-logs are a waste of money so I believe in getting Headers w/ there DP and you'll cure all the exhaust restrictions in one shot and i don't cost much more pending on what headers you buy.
