Hey guys, if you're in some of the facebook groups you might have already seen this, and I posted about it before, but now I have an actual video to show what is going on. This issue only happens every once in awhile with no real cause. In the video linked here, I don't touch anything at all, except to start the car. It was in park, and stalled. I tried unplugging some sensors like the IAC, MAF, and TPS. Nothing helped. I just need help. Some have suggested the issues noted in the title, but wanted other opinions before throwing parts at it. Thank you SO much in advance. I really appreciate it.

Car is an '02 Grand Prix GTP that just rolled over 98k. Stock, with a pod filter in place of the air box.

could be a bad fuel pressure regulator. its in the fuel rail with a vac line to it, pul the line see if it smells of gas or if gas comes out the line.

you can also run the car vac line off and see if gas spits out the regulator.

Wouldn't it always smell like fuel?

Interesting. I'll have to check that tomorrow morning.

Have you checked all of your grounds? Do you a have another pcm that you could swap in?

I wonder if the wiring to the fuel pump or the fuel pump itself is having a problem if he regulator is ok.

Did you low oil light always come on like that or is that part of this issue?

Do you have access to any type of scan tool? Or can you do a crank position learn?

No, the low oil light never came on before. Now, I've had this issue on and off for several months now. It's hard to diagnose an issue, when by the time you get some suggestions, the car is running okay again. And it is. It does it about once or twice a month, for a day. I do have a bluetooth scanner and torque pro. Also, never heard of a crank position learn.

Edit: Also, I don't have a spare PCM. I am curious how much one would cost at a JY.

You're in Ohio I'm sure there's someone local that could help with a pcm.

What did you do with your pcm when you removed the stock air box? Have any of the wires chafed and exposed?

What I did is a bit unconventional. I actually kept the bottom portion of the stock airbox. Just kinda as a PCM tray. I don't believe that there are any exposed wires. Though it's quite possible. I will definitely look around for a new PCM. Wonder if there's a way to test if there's issues with a PCM? Though I'm sure it would cost a bit.
