    Yep, the second time it went bad, it would just die. When I started testing the thing I would sit in the car and let it idle and usually between 5-10 minutes it would just shut off like I had turned the car off myself.

    When I saw I had no spark on the #1 cylinder (thanks to the help of people on here) I got to work replacing the CPS and had no issues afterwards.

    I started collecting dead/used sensors so I could start doing write ups on how to test them and determine they are bad but Im no where near having that completed. Furthermore, the CPS is one of those finicky sensors. Its based on Hall effect electronics and they can fail when its hot and then work fine when its normal ambient temp. With the work required to pull it off the engine its just better to replace it and be done with it.

    i can actually here the fuel pump kick off before the car stalls.. i think i forgot to mention that.. and with the cam sensor do you think i should change that while i'm in there also? or have u heard of those failing before?
