I had the same thought. To much starter fluid to test for fuel smell though!! However I did pull both the relay and fuse to the fuel pump and tried to start with starter fluid. I was able to start and run it at any throttle setting doing this. So I now know I am getting to much fuel. Now the question is why? My two thoughts is the fuel pressure regulator or computer.... FYI fuel pressure ignition only is 56 and 1200rpm full throttle sorta running for 3 seconds it jumps to almost 60. From my understanding the pressure usually drops a few pounds as it is running..
