2005 Grand Prix. When the car is cold it starts just fine but after it has been warmed up you have to press the gas pedal to get it to start. I am going to try and clean the throttle body but has anyone figured out what is causing this on so many cars. I have changed the plugs and wires and it didnt help at all. There is not an external fuel filter or regulater on this car so I want to try to figure it out before replacing the fuel pump. Also when I take off its a little hesitant and then you can feel it take off pretty quick. Any ideas would be great. I dont know a whole lot so please explain pretty good

Throttle body is caked up with carbon and junk. Since it's a drive by wire system, the carbon buildup is preventing the throttle plate in returning to absolute zero and gives a false reading to the ECU.

Clean the throttle body and everything will be good.

Whining could be low power steering fluid, the transmission, or just the alternator. I noticed that on my 00 GT now that it's cold out the alt whines a bit more than normal at cold startup and voltmeter shows a little higher than normal until it warms up.
