after you replace it, just make sure you bleed the system of air to insure that it dont overheat on you.
There is a bleeder screw on top of the housing that you open 1-2 turns and with the car running you let it heat up and wait for coolant to start streaming out of the bleeder. Wait till its a steady stream, because you want to make sure all the air gets out, it may take 5-10 mins but its no big deal. Then just close it up and take it for a drive to see if it helps.
