I changed the coolant temp sensor on my 02 Gt. Now my temp gauge goes to 240 on the highway and about 220 cruising in the city. With the original CTS the temp stayed under 210 always. I tried burping the system. I tried opening the bleeder screw, and changed the thermostat. Still no change. The cooling fans are not coming on so that tells me that the motor is really not that hot.? I've tried a coolant temp sensor from autozone, a BWD one from Advanced Auto, and an Elchin one from Napa. Should I try a delphi sensor or one from the dealer. I've searched this site up and down, and I don't know what else to try or where else to look for a problem. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Do the cooiling fans come on if you run the A/C? Almost sounds like a fan issue and not the CTS.

I went to the dealer and got another cts. Installed it last night. Problem solved. Temps are normal again. Thanks.

I replaced mine with one from Oriellys and the same thing happened, temp gauge is outta whack. You're saying one from the dealer fixed your problem?
