A failure like this can come from someone not flushing some oil down the lifter valley and out the pan after they spilled coolant. Usually happens after they were pulling the lower intake manifold and coolant came out of it while lifting it off.

This is really what I think happened. When all those leaks showed up we took it back to the place we bought it and they did replace the lower intake gasket at that point. Anybody know if it's possible to prove that?
