does that cable lead to the tranny? if so all it does is pull it in or out of gear, has nothing to do with sifting down the road.

once again, its not adjustable. the clip on the end can break, but that only affects it going into gear. or not going in gear or into park.

if you would only get the car scanned. you'd have a good idea where to look. but telling you that is like beating a dead horse.

There's three cables in your pic.

    Throttle
    Cruise
    Trans

None of them would directly affect shifting as long as gear selection works.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

odd cause you say the check engine light never comes on.

the bare wires at the speed sensor. you fix them? that could be the issue.

or that aftermarket maf too. these cars HATE them big time.

Maybe the degree of your intake is incorrect.

The degree of my intake could cause stalling?

The maf is oem and I put black tape over the wires. It's not dying on me like it did before but my car would still stall a bit after I come to a complete stop

tapes not a fix, you need to cut the wires back till you get to clean shinny copper wire on both sides of the damaged wire, then solder in a new length of wire if needed to make up for the wire you took out.

if its bare to the plug, you buy a new pig yail and solder it on.

I spliced the wires on with the new vss connector and wrapped it up with electrical tape. My abs light remains on now I'll go back over it tomorrow and get another connector from the junk yard

tapes not a good for a seal. it needs to be soldered and sealed with shrink tubing so its air and water tight.

Ok also the vss connector on my car is different from other vss connectors from other cars like impala and monte carlo with the 3.8 engine. Why is that
