Last night my serpentine belt started squealing. Got up today to give it a look and it had mostly snapped; I figured the Oklahoma temperature changes had gotten to it. Bought a new one and installed it no problems, but when I turned the car on, same noise.

Upon further inspection, I realized one of the pulleys was no longer turning. I don't even know the name of this one. Could someone tell me the actual name for this specific part, and if possible, some suggestions as to what the problem may be? It's locked in pretty good.

    Thats the water pump pulley.

If that is no longer spinning, the water pump has siezed and needs replacing.

They are super easy to replace.

Remove the pulley, then remove the 6 bolts holding the water pump on. Remove it and clean the surface on the housing nicely, install the new pump with gasket and you're good to go.

Just bleeding the cooling system is needed after that.
