So i went out and purchased a 3.4 pulley the other day and popped my hood to replace it. Then I noticed that it seemed like someone(previous owner, incompitant mechanic) had tried to grind a hole in the pulley or something.

Anyone have any idea what it is? Can i still replace the pulley or will i have to buy a new snout?

    Thanks

when you replace the pulley with a MPS youre just going to put a cap in there anyway. usually there is a breather screw that goes into it that has a cork center. looks like they couldnt get that out so they had to play some fun time games with it.
