    Have him look at the connector and pins for the trans. Jason just ran into something similar. The pump is pumping if you are getting engagement in R.

    Have him check that the cable is tightened down, I've seen a loose one cause issues. Also..this came from a GP? I'm thinking that little lever on top that moves it gear to gear might be different. It is different for the different body cars. and.. check fluid level.

    If he didn't do the shift kit.. did he drop the pan? If not...make him do it and look for a filter.

    Yea it was out of an 01 gtp,he said he dropped the pan and everything looked good,my thing is the trans was in an 01 gtp but the tag read 0xbb and not 1xab.

    My car only had 3rd with a bad trans connector. Threw codes like crazy as Bill will recall in his half-asleep stupor. Revving the hell out of with minimal movement is indicative of a bad trans unfortunately. You MAY get lucky and only have a bad PCS as that only is used for the forward gears. Check codes and let us know.
