I have a 1998 GP GT, It all of a sudden just died it ran fine i parked it for a few hours went to start it again and all it does is crank. it will run for about 2-3secs and die, it sounds like it is sucking in a massive amount of air. The engine light does not come on or anything. I took it to a mech and he has no clue what it could be. So atm i'm stumped. and its all stock.

    spark, fuel, air

Maybe a sensor crank or cam maybe a bad icm or an electrical short

    severly glogged fuel filter

    messed up fuel pump

Start at the basic points and work through it if a shop couldnt figure it out Find a better shop

Well when the car did run the idle was normal, now when it wants to start its up and down goes to about 1200 or so then drops to around 700, i took it to another mech he said it might be the timeing chain O.o ,but i will check the vacum lines fuel spark and that and go from there.
