Something to think further about..
In the spacer plate between the valve body and channel plate are two little filter baskets. The fluid flows from the pan into the filter, through the pump, into the converter and then through the valve body and channel plate.
If your converter is self destructing, you may already have debris in your valve body and those filters. May be a good idea to have someone go through those pieces to ensure they are not compromised while it's out for the converter. Otherwise you might end up taking it back out again.
Trust me on this.. I'm the master of having a trans out of a car in two hours. There's a reason behind my being good at pulling them.
