I didn't ask him about it yet. I just spoke to him yesterday about diagnosing my current problem and found the broken forward apply band that he suspected. I may call him, I just hate to take too much advantage of his free advise.Maybe he'll respond to this post.
I had originally read a few posts about it being doable, but I thought I would have seen a load of guys saying it was a no-brainer if it was accepted practice for our cars. I just went through some time and research about using a 3400 out of an '05 impala for my '98 Transport van. I had been told by parts place that it couldn't be done, but after hearing from some guys about their V6's I bought one and had only 2 sensors too swap, as well as use my throttle body (for the linkage) and it fit perfect. That's why I'm hoping I can swing this swap, since I can't get anything local and they all have WAY too high miles to make it worth it.
