my trans stopped moving, were i didnt have the sludge you have. i had chunks, top right of the pan, al that silver is chunks on the gasket, thats the side i drained it from.

Yeah. Still not a good sign especially with all the clutch mud. Too bad you don't live closer or I'd rebuild it for you! Keep the old trans pan since they drilled the jy one.
And not really any major advantage except no chance of it rusting out. Though I wouldn't bother personally. Its up to you!
