I need this snap ring or retaining ring. What ever its called
It is the ring on the drivers side of the car that holds the CV shaft in place.
Now for explanation of how said ring shattered. The CV shaft I did have on was the wrong type...to short but I took advanced autos word that it was the correct one. Well it wasn't and the vibration has caused the ring to bread and getting the old CV shaft off was a bit*h.
Heres the difference the top one is advanced autos shaft and bottom is the correct one that's an exact match to my original OEM one.
