So I topped swapped my GT a while ago and I bought all the new tensioners, pulleys, and the cast iron tensioner mount/coil pack mount/engine mount but what I never was able to find is the stud that goes through the cast iron bracket into the head and it holds the supercharger tensioner on does anyone have one? There's two other studs that go through the cast iron bracket to hold it to the head and I just have one of those for the supercharger tensioner and when you put the nut on it doesn't even thread all the way on I'm assuming that one stud for the SC tensioner is like a 1" longer? Does anyone know or have one? I'm worried it's going to come loose.

i may have them 2 studs, you only need the one for the tensioner really. you can bolt the lower part on.

thing is i dont have the nut. the nut is special and just not found at a local store.

heres a pic, see if the stud you have reaches the same as in the pic.

Do you have one? Is the nut special? I just have a regular nut on it from the hardware store I think.

id have to find it. i dont have a nut tho. the right nut fits in side the tensioner.

if the tip of your stud reaches the end of the tensioner like in the pic the stud is fine, you need the right nut for it. 13 mm 12 point deep sockets fits inside the tensioner best too. 6 point sockets are to fat.

I have a nut that fits fine it's all together been like this for a couple years I just always check it to make sure it doesn't come loose. The nut doesn't even thread all the way on I'd send a picture but I don't know how to get them to upload.

So I remembered what I did to get the nut to work I used an extra nut i had for the upper motor mounts or the dog bones. The built in washer they have on the nut I ground it down on the bench grinder and it fit fine. Here's a picture though.

But is the stud you have any longer? Is that how a gtp is? It gets real tight but I'd like it to be on there more.

the stud looks long enough, you got the wrong bolt on there. the right one is thin and fits in the hole there perfectly.

Okay you mean I have the wrong nut? So your saying my nut is probably alot wider so it looks like it doesn't go completely on? But it's on as much if not more then stock?

all i know is the right bolt fits best. nothing else even fits, unless you grind it down like you did.
