Has anyone seen a car with lights behind the grill of an F1 style hood?

I was thinking of blacked out headlights, red halo fogs, and either a strip of red LEDs under the headlight covers OR a light behind the grill.

This is on a green GTP (I wish it was black).

Red leds behind grill could actually be pretty cool. Not sure how it would look on a green gp though. Gives me ideas on my blackie thou.

do not destroy a green car with red lights. green + red = christmas, and that's lame.

i agree with the blacked out idea, im doing it too (besides the wheels because black wheels are ugly as hell). id say you need to think of a different color scheme. the dark greens can look good, you just need to find the right color to go with it. id say yellow, but that's kind of loud and ugly too..

here is my green prix, the wheels are gone though..

That looks pretty sweet Bio. I agree that it is very difficult to pick a color scheme for the color of our cars. Green with silver or white usually looks pretty good, but I see it way too often. I was thinking that a hint of red accents set to a really low level would look pretty mean in the evening.

These are the rims I have. Bad pic but you get the general idea

****..800 plus shipping. i wish i would have just kept them for that price. they were one summer old and the tires alone were 700. they are 19" mille miglia EV-S.

i didnt need heavy 19s anyway with how fast i want to go.

I think lights in the hood would look good. My '73 Mustang Convt. Mach 1 Clone had lighted hood scoops. Always got lots of attention at night (during the day too ).

i got them from a friend for a really good deal so i couldnt pass them up. i actually think 19s look better than 18s and 20s because they are an intermediate size. if i were to buy wheels again and wasnt worried about performance id get 20s.

but for now ill rock the 17x9 cobra wheels ive got.

Yeah that's exactly why I got 18's and gonna lower it instead of get 20's. I bet finding tires was a pain tho.

Its your car man, do what you want and what you think looks good. I would use blue, or hell even green...That way, if a cop pulls u over since you can have any lights on the outside of your car, you can say a streelight must have reflected your paint :P

So you put them on a switch, and when you get pulled over you turn them off.

At one point, I wanted to try and put some black lights under my car. When they're on, to really don't see them, but when rolling down the road and cross over the white lines making them glow. Never got around to it though.
