yea, i do think its bad business to do a group buy and sell them for 350 and now the retail is 200. I think this has tarnished spyder auto rep in my view.

Honestly, that was the fault of the ClubGP members. For 27+ pages, they ranted and raved how badly they wanted a set of these, and how they'd pay anything for them. People kept bumping the thread 2 or 3 times a day asking for updates when there obviously weren't any (took 4 or 5 months to go from a planned project, to finished product). I warned everyone half a dozen times that they're setting themselves for an ass raping on the price when they finally come out, but no one would listen. Oh well. They got what they deserved.
BTW, the retail isn't $200. That's just what most people are selling them for now. They were cheaper than the group buy, but well over $200 for quite some time after the group buy. It's only over the course of the last few months that the prices have dropped down that far.
my headlights look just like nvsridez's. and i finally got the right HID kit (kind of) they sent the kit that fits the new headlights but its a plug-n-play version so i gotta cut off a connector then splice those wires into the headlight wires. but before i rode around to much with the HID's should i take off the daytime lights? or does that not affect them at all? from what i heard the HID bulbs have a short life span and dont want to shorten it even more.
oh no, HID (if they are quality) have a longer life span than halogen, also the drl's are high beams...
thanks! didn't know they use high beams. and think they said last 3k hours of use. and to be honest never had any of my cars long enough to know how long the stocks last.
well one of my friends has a HID kit he has had for three years or more, and has never needed new bulbs, they have lasted through four cars
Posting in old thread i know. I have a set i found that the washer trick works and the bounce can be fixed with using a rubber washer between the two metal ones reduces bounce significantly. Only problem i have with them is i live in a cold climate and i was doin reg maint to the car inside a garage and when i went out side and closed the hood the mounts that attach to the fram snapped due to the spyder projectors using cheap plastic. fixed them by cutting them off and using zip ties to make them real snug and since the car is black can hardly see them when the hood is open. other than that i wasnt in the group buy but i did pay 350 for em
