why is that?

If you deal with them all the time then you know what they are going to bust your balls about.

97-03 GPs will be totaled quick now. The cars are not worth that much anymore so I complete paint job will total them. Ins Co isnt going to pay 4500-5000 for a paint job on a 2500 car.

If you hit something now its totaled or very close to being totaled. A avg hit is $2500 now and this cars are not worth it to repair.

If you do have a nice GP you may want to get a Stated value done on it so you get paid on it for what you have into it. Yes..Your going to pay more insurance on the car but you know you will not lose your money you put into the car if something does happen.

I know Im going to here if you save all your paperwork the insurance company will pay you!! Thats not always the truth and insurance companys will do whatever not to pay more than they have too. A stated value will over ride that.

( why aftermarket parts )
For writing aftermarket parts its a 2 year rule. If the car is 2 years old you will get aftermarket parts but if you bring it to a good bodyshop they will be able to get OEM by showing the insurance company that the part doesnt fit right..( Any body man can put a fender, bumper or hood on to show that they dont fit right so the insurance company will buy a OEM part in that case)

Not all aftermarket parts are bad.
