is it legal to drive with head light covers on?
you will have to check your local laws, but as far as i know, it is perfectly legal. i would recommend brighter bulbs or an HID setup tho, bc those covers dim the piss out of your headlights, and it will suck at night, especially if its raining.
yeah i have xenons so im not worried
I take mine off at night... BUT I did have a buddy who used his at night and just used his Hi beams....
Technically unless your covers are clear. Than they are illegal in most States as it hinders visiblity.
Now I did covers on my old truck and that **** got old fast.
so just get your headlights tinted. You can still see out of them and the look sexist than a cover that fades over time quicker than the heads in the south
Android Fire
Illinois Vehicle Code book online.
All other motor vehicles shall exhibit at least 2 lighted head lamps, with at least one on each side of the front of the vehicle, which satisfy United States Department of Transportation requirements, showing white lights, including that emitted by high intensity discharge (HID) lamps, or lights of a yellow or amber tint, during the period from sunset to sunrise, at times when rain, snow, fog, or other atmospheric conditions require the use of windshield wipers, and at any other times when, due to insufficient light or unfavorable atmospheric conditions, persons and vehicles on the highway are not clearly discernible at a distance of 1000 feet.
In summary if a cop cant see you comming way down the road easily he will get you.
And just because. Rear lights must be seen from 500ft with parking lights on NOT brake lights.
you cant tell the covers are on while driving really i drove all day and night rain and shine with my stock bulbs i loved the look but they didnt fit with my projectors. im still getting use to the clear look everything else was blacked out
