I'd defiantly let the white inlays show! But might be tough or time consuming to do a nice job cutting off the rubber without taking off more than needed. Maybe get new inlays and put them over it?

And don't you think if I just razor it off it won't affect the surrounding rubber? But who knows

He applied it way too thin. The thicker the coat the easier it is to remove. But I'm not gonna worry about it until I get tired of black

Not by any means haha. I think it was originally designed to coat tools so it had to be durable and thick

What kind of heat will this stuff handle?

Yeah, this stuff is a ***** to get off if its only a light coat. I had a moderate issue getting them off one of my wheels, but wasn't terrible. Just had to rub and peel with my fingers, and came up pretty easily. And as for the heat, I don't think it would withstand higher temperatures.

I don't think it would hold up to high heat either...probably just bubble up like crazy

The reason I ask is I see a lot of guys using it on wheels that will get real hot like on track/rally only cars. So either they's dumb or it will tolerate moderate heat.

What about on an intake manifold for instance?
