its not going around a track its going straight... throw a stb back there and that would pretty much solve it? I was looking at it awhile and thought the same thing you said I would think the cage and stb would hold it together enough to go down the track I'll have to ask around more and see what the theroy is

up front the radio all the hvac stuff and what not is goin I kinda have to keep the center console because its hiding the fuse box that I worked so hard to move lol it only weighs about 2lbs I cut abunch of plastic out of it ontop of that then racing seats after that I'll get the new subframe put f-body brakes up front and call it a day I'm thinking at the track no rear sway bar or rear brakes this is going to be a really long project tho since all of this won't mean anything untill I do a big boy build which I can't decide if I'm going tubo or not I'd rather not since I just top swapped but thats a ways down the road

I wouldn't bother with f bodies. Same total mass as stock with a larger rotating radius.

That is if you're going for weight savings

    grand am brakes

You're not going to be stopping that much weight anymore and there is always sand at the end of the track.

    like dis.

the rear bulk head is a major structual point of the car, but if you have a cage thats tied into the floor with plates and this you should be fine.

picture is of a GT3 cup car.

    Lookin good.

For brakes, if it is going to be a track car, no need to go bigger. If anything go smaller. Because you have less weight, it won't be an issue. Grand am brakes will bolt right in up front and save some weight, and more importantly it will save rotating mass. And Grand am brakes in the rear will save weight as well.

You've done pretty well on the interior. Now start working on the body. Pull the bumpers off and take out the supports and foam that are in them. Save a ton of weight there.
