He leaves for San Antonio with instructions to put on a clear coat then polish after letting it dry for an hour. I wait for an hour, go outside and there's cracks in the tint all over the brake light. It looks like complete utter f*cking sh*t. I could have easily done a better job. Seriously the guy just threw on several layers all at once im guessing because that's the only reason I can think of that it looks this bad. Now I have to go spend MORE money to fix this sh*t. DAMNATION.
it dies that on plastic if it isn't prepped correctly, it's too humid out, done outside, done indoors, too hott, too cool.

seriously it's a roll of the dice in florida. i did a few things here and there and i randomly would have that happen when i sprayed everything the same time.

and be careful using vht to tint your heads and fogs as vht is a purple based black

of coarse the only thing i ever tinted with vht was a dead gtp and it took flip 4 hours to sand off. so every vehicle after that has been tinted by flip. the truck had it done 2 times but thats a long story

Doesn't matter, I would never use or suggest VHT to be used on headlights.

more buffing needed, did you use clear coat?

looks like i can see scratches still or it just may be reflations the pic, but they lost their shine.

this was 2 coats of vht, 5 coats clear, wet sanded and hand buffed,( i used turtle wax liquid compound heavy to medium) i later used a porter cable on them and they got more shine.

this one is still hand buffed.VVVVVVVV

hey, i used VHT nite-shades and i was completely happy with how it turned out. i only did 3 or 4 coats of it because i didn't want my taillights completely blacked out. using nite-shades is hard because you need to make it consistent with both lights and that is harder when you don't go the complete black out.
here is my before and after
